]]> As the Lead Program Architect for these initiatives AJ was leading a team of architects that were responsible for planning, architecture and strategy of the programs ensuring alignment with Australia Post Corporate Technology Architecture Council directions as well as ongoing day to day operational and delivery aspects of the programs.

Key outcomes of these programs of work included:

  1. Simplification of the technology landscape.
  2. Uplift and develop Australia Post technical capabilities to align with and enable the Australia Post 5 year strategic plans to be delivered
  3. Reduction in the total number of national data centres from 8 to 2 (being 1 primary and 1 secondary data centre).
  4. Introduced capabilities that allowed transition from a being predominately a ‘letters’ business to an Ecommerce and parcels business – this essentially required the introduction of a 2 speed operating model that allowed Australia Post to support the traditional letters business as well as accommodate the rapid growth of parcels business.
